Belgium-based label Léo has released its Fall/Winter 2018 collection, which draws inspiration from the early-’90s to the millennium era through powerful silhouettes that tweak on familiar sartorial codes. For this season, designer Leonneke Derksen and sales director Matthias Medaer offer casual garments such as denim, jersey sweats and nylon tracksuits that harken back to the “Slacker Movement,” during which MTV unplugged sessions and ninja computer games reigned supreme.
The collection’s oversized fits are visited by asymmetric cuts, unique metal hardware, cropped lengths, as well as a mix of materials such as vegan python leather and fur accents for a dynamic range of ensembles that reflect a transformative state. A color palette of blood red, black and denim blue is lifted by touches of bright green and silver.
