Before Kanye West dropped his latest album The Life of Pablo, he claimed that his LP will “never never never” be on Apple, that it will never be for sale and that you can only get it on Tidal.

However, we all know about the confusing rollout the album got and now, you can access the album on all streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. A fan named Justin Baker-Rhett filed a lawsuit today in federal court because of this, reported by AP. Instead of shrugging off what Kanye did, the suit cites the tweets as evidence against ‘Ye and Tidal. Jay Edelson, a lawyer for Baker-Rhett, shares with Pitchfork:

“Even if their streaming service is struggling, they can’t trick millions of people into paying money (and giving up personal information) just to boost valuation numbers.”

TLOP has helped boosted JAY Z’s streaming platform immensely, and the lawsuit estimates that new subscribers and their personal information could be worth up to $85 million. Stay tuned for more on this.
