Take a First Look at A$AP Rocky's Skate-Inspired Under Armour Shoe
Resembling Osiris’ D3.
After signing a deal with Under Armour late last year, news regarding A$AP Rocky‘s partnership with the sportswear brand has remained largely quiet, until now.
Thanks to British director Dexter Navy, we recently received our first look at a sample of Rocky’s first collaboration with Under Armour. Navy took to Instagram to post an obscure first look at the puffy, almost inflated sneaker collaboration. It is interesting to note the design similarities to Osiris‘ D3 skate shoe, which Rocky was spotted wearing in an Instagram post last month.
The shoe features a mainly padded mesh upper accented by what looks to be dynamic leather overlays and midfoot cages. While a closer look at the thick tongue notes the shoe was created in association with A$AP Rocky and is part of Under Armour’s “Sports Style” division, with AWGE branding rounding out the text-heavy design note. Although no imagery of the sole unit is available, we can only expect that it is equally chunky to match the puffy upper.
