Different artists had different ways of paying tribute to The Notorious B.I.G. on the 18th anniversary of the rapper’s passing. Kendrick Lamar spit a freestyle over Biggie beats, and producer-DJ Terry Urban decided to share a full-length project composed of FKA twigs and The Notorious B.I.G. mash-ups. Mixtape opener “Video Girl Dreams” was already unveiled earlier in the year, but this serves as the first time the other seven tracks have seen the e-light of day. While this may sound like a disrespectful mess on paper, Terry Urban definitely does justice to both parties involved on this project. Our personal favorites: “Who Shot Papi,” “Notorious Ache” and “Two Weeks in Cali.” Check out the full piece below.
