For this week’s drops, we see a number of special releases coupled with collaborative capsules. In tune with the warmer days ahead, Supreme goes heavy with T-shirts, windbreakers, shorts, and Champion-branded hoodies. While many were waiting in anticipation for some of the more outlandish items from ‘Preme, they will have to hold on until next week as soft-goods were favored this time around.
Also on this list is UNIQLO‘s T-shirt line that caught fire on the internet, which featured the famous logos of Japan’s most coveted ramen shops. Furthering our approach towards summer is Virgil‘s latest exploration into eyewear with the help of Sunglass Hut.

After teaming up with streetwear heavyweights Supreme, UNDERCOVER’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection was recently highlighted in a new editorial by our very own HBX. The Jun Takahashi-helmed label offers up a collection of quintessential summer-ready garments from graphic tees, down to the strap-detailed eye backpack. Fans of Jonio’s past text heavy graphics will not be disappointed.

Uniqlo’s recently launched ramen capsule collection just goes to show how ramen motifs can pack as full of a punch as the popular food’s flavor. Released under the collaborative UT T-shirt line, a round-up of 8 bold graphic tees come together to pledge allegiance to some of our favorite ramen joints: Afuri, Ebisoba Ichigen, Menya Musashi, Setagaya, Ippudo and Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. It’s ramen insignia through-and-through for this one.

This time around, Off-White arrives at a collaborative capsule of essential eyewear with Sunglass Hut. Virgil‘s infamous readymade approach hits the temple with a mix of silver and gold branding, while an ensemble of flat lines, tonal colors and patterns grace the frames. The designer himself confessed his fondness for sunglasses as a way of subtly whispering the subtleties of a brand’s DNA — “I’ve always thought of sunglasses as an important accessory in a fashion context. It’s a small object that can give you the nuances of a brand’s opinion on design. For me I was looking to incorporate classic shapes from the past with a youthful modern elegance. All lenses are flat, which gives each style the same edge.”

Supreme is back with week 5 of its drops. Coming off a high from last week’s UNDERCOVER/Public Enemy collaboration, this week sees a heavy release of Champion-lead pieces in the form of outerwear, track pants, shorts and hoodies — all featuring bright Summer colors. Also worth mentioning in the outerwear release section is the collaborative Schott suede A2 bomber in choice of black, green or leopard print. In terms of accessories and trinkets, this week keeps it rather light with the Mophie battery-pack, “Don’t ask me 4 shit” pin and “Block letter” keychain making up the bulk of accessories to be released. As usual, Japan will see a later release on March 24.

New York-based label Aimé Leon Dore has returned with the second drop from its Spring/Summer 2018 release. The athletic-inspired line features seasonal essentials ranging from lightweight outerwear, crewneck pullovers, button-down shirts, long-sleeve polo tops, athletic shorts, track pants and T-shirts. Key pieces include the tie-dye offerings and the decorative pins and carabiner-style clips. The third drop will be available this Friday, March 23 at Aimé Leon Dore’s New York concept store and online.

Gosha Rubchinskiy‘s eponymous label is slated to release its third round of drops from its Spring/Summer 2018 collection this weekend. Steeped in the vibrant history of Russian football and electronica culture, a selection of pieces are emblazoned with the yellow and black radioactive graphic alongside off-kilter cut-and-sews. Deconstructed pieces show out in the form of a hoodie-blazer mashup and double-toned sweatshirt. Summer-ready T-shirts with the aforementioned motif round out the drop.

If the name Eizin Suzuki doesn’t sound familiar, you can check out his artwork over a slew of soft-goods from the collaborative BEAUTY & YOUTH x Eizen Suzuki capsule. Channeling the idyllic presence of the warmer months ahead, the Japanese illustrator depicts imaginative vignettes of vacations in the USA. Featured in the capsule includes two tees, two oxfords and a long-sleeve T-shirt to finish. Retro-style illustrations appear in bold contrasting hues: A testament to Suzuki’s nature-loving personality and the carefree spirit of summer.
