Sean Wotherspoon Shows off Rare 'Friends' x Nike Sample

With Sean Wotherspoon’s Nike Air Max 1/97 hybrid set for a re-release in honor of Air Max Day, the man behind the contest-winning design took to Instagram today to show off a pair of ultra-rare kicks: a Friends x Nike collab from the mid-’90s. Crafted to celebrate the beloved show’s second season, the unreleased take on the old Air Edge trainer sees its OG colorway intact, but incorporates the Friends logo on the heel while a celebratory “2nd Season” insignia decorates the tongue of the model. Don’t expect to come across many pairs of these for resale, however, as the design was originally gifted solely to the cast and crew of the show.
