During his final ‘This Is America’ Tour stop.

During his final ‘This Is America’ Tour stop, multitalented artist Donald Glover paid tribute to his late father, Donald Glover Sr.
On Monday night, Glover, who goes by the moniker Childish Gambino, told his fans, “I lost my father a couple weeks ago and I wanted to play him some of the new songs.” Trying to hold back tears he continued, “but he didn’t want to hear them because he was like, ‘I know they’ll be great.’ I’m not saying that to talk about music, I say that to talk about trust. That’s what love is. I hope you guys get to feel that kind of love.”
After a pause, Glover went on to preview one of the aforementioned songs. Thanks to a fan, Glover’s tribute can be seen below. Following the song, Glover went on to perform, “Riot,” along with another unreleased Childish Gambino single. Elsewhere in the show, Glover admitted it’s been a tough year, “I lost a lot of good people. I know it’s been a tough year for everybody, that’s what’s crazy. I wish I could change everything for everybody.” Catch it all below.
