'Chance the Dropout' Pairs Chance The Rapper's Bars With Kanye West's Beats
Two worlds collide.

Kanye West’s body of work is no stranger to unofficial mashups and mixes, and now a pair of producer-DJs have connected for the sole purpose of merging Kanye West’s iconic production with the vocals of another highly-respected, wildly successful rapper. For Chance The Dropout, DJ Critical Hype and DJ Clyde have chosen to blend together Yeezy beats with Chance The Rapper bars.
“They are both from Chicago and Chance is always talking about how big of an influence Kanye was and is. It seemed like a match made in heaven and a great way to bridge the gap of a new and older Chicago artist,” Critical Hype explains to Pigeons & Planes. “We wanted to have a range of Kanye beats and Chance vocals from newer to older. We also wanted some the best beats and verses but also limited to the instrumentals and a capellas I was able to get my hands on.” In total, the entire project took Clyde and Critical Hype over a year and a half to create.
Clocking in at an impressive 23 mashups, Chance The Dropout includes additional verses from G Herbo, Common, Young Thug, Lil Wayne and others. You can stream Chance The Dropout in its entirety below.
