Blood Orange Shares "Dagenham Dream" Video & Announces 2019 Tour
Dev Hynes will perform in the U.S. and Mexico soon.
A week after cooking up an official “Smoke” remix with Yves Tumor and Ian Isiah, singer-songwriter Blood Orange supports his Negro Swan LP with a new video for ”Dagenham Dream.” The visual was brought to life by director Jack Greer and stars Caleb Barnett.
“The underlying thread through each piece on the album is the idea of hope, and the lights we can try to turn on within ourselves with a hopefully positive outcome of helping others out of their darkness.” Dev Hynes previously explained via press statement, breaking down the themes and sound of songs like “Dagenham Dream.” Like the other songs on Negro Swan, “Dagenham Dream” is record born from a desire to explore several different forms of “black depression,” past and “modern traumas,” the many anxieties that impact the psyches of “queer/people of color” and the “corners of black existence.”
Along with today’s clip, Blood Orange also announced his next major tour. You can check out Blood Orange’s new video for “Dagenham Dream” above, while the itinerary for his upcoming 2019 tour can be read below.
Previously, Blood Orange reconnected with A$AP Rocky for the “Chewing Gum” video.
