Chance the Rapper Is Getting His Own Starbucks Gift Card
And it’s all for charity.

Starbucks and Spotify have revealed plans for a trio of limited-edition holiday gift cards. Taking their themes from the realm of popular music, the three items revolve around Chance the Rapper, Metallica and Lady Gaga; each card will benefit a different charity of each act or artist’s choosing. While Lady Gaga chose to benefit the Born This Way Foundation and Metallica went for All Within My Hands, Chance went for his own non-profit, SocialWorks.
“Grammy-winning musician and producer Chance the Rapper has been a social activist, helping connect young people to jobs and raising more than $2.2 million [USD] for Chicago Public Schools,” reads the official press statement. “His non-profit SocialWorks helps empower youth through the arts, education and civic engagement in his hometown of Chicago.”
“Our goal at SocialWorks is to empower the youth through the arts, education, and civic engagement,” Chance explains. “Many thanks to Starbucks and Spotify for working with us to create more opportunities to build dreams, inspire creativity, and let the youth be themselves!”
You can take a look at Starbucks and Spotify’s new limited-edition holiday gift cards above; starting tomorrow, November 28, consumers can pick up their own at a local Starbucks location.
Outside of his retail collaborations, Chance is also working on new music and recently hosted — and performed on — Saturday Night Live.
