A couple weeks ago, Earl Sweatshirt debuted a new single titled “Nowhere2go.” Following up that drop, the acclaimed lyricist has shared another new track and revealed plans for his next major studio LP.

Notably, Earl Sweatshirt’s latest single is known as “The Mint.” The record features a guest appearance by Navy Blue, and also boasts production from Black Noi$e. “The Mint” is being released in support of Earl Sweatshirt’s new studio album, Some Rap Songs. His first full-length project in three years, Some Rap Songs will serve as the follow-up to 2015’s I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside and is scheduled to arrive next week on November 30 via Tan Cressida/Columbia Records.

According to Earl, his forthcoming album will tackle the passing of his father Keorapetse Kgositsile. “Me and my dad had a relationship that’s not uncommon for people to have with their fathers, which is a non-perfect one,” Earl shared via an official statement. “Talking to him is symbolic and non-symbolic, but it’s literally closure for my childhood. Not getting to have that moment left me to figure out a lot with my damn self.”

You can stream Earl Sweatshirt’s new song “The Mint” above, while Some Rap Songs is set to hit streaming platforms and similar services on Friday, November 30.
