Diplo, Ellie Goulding & Swae Lee Debut a New Video for "Close to Me"
Goulding’s first new track since 2016.
Towards the end of last month, Diplo, Ellie Goulding and Rae Sremmurd superstar Swae Lee linked up for a new collaborative cut known as “Close to Me.” The record is Ellie Goulding’s first new original track since 2016, and it was originally debuted on BBC Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s “Hottest Record in the World.” Further supporting her new joint effort, Goulding now unveils its official music video.
“You can never come too close for comfort / I had to cut my bitch off, she bein’ stubborn,” Swae Lee raps. “I make it known I fuck with you, not undercover / And when I jump in, I’m burnin’ rubber / Iced out body, didn’t go to college / Price tag poppin’, then you on a private / Don’t say “Sorry,” everyone’s watchin’ / When you’re where I am, everything’s timeless.”
Notably, the video for “Close to Me” was filmed in Budapest, Hungary. You can check Ellie Goulding, Diplo and Swae Lee’s “Close to Me” video above. Goulding is reportedly working on her fourth album, so expect much more from her in the near future.
