These artists are predicted to have a lasting impact in the music industry.
BBC hits up 170 music tastemakers each year to talk about the industry’s next breakthrough artist. Consisting of journalists, curators, DJs, each individual in the panel is asked to come up with three musical acts that they predict would have a lasting presence and influence in music. Today, 2017’s longlist has arrived and it’s dominated by British grime and rap acts like Dave and AJ Tracey. Other artists to be included include Jorja Smith, Anderson .Paak, Maggie Rogers and more. Check out the list below; the winner will be announced on January 6.
