adidas Creates Its First-Ever Laceless Basketball Sneaker
Created in the Brooklyn borough.

adidas has just release a number of new silhouettes under it’s Basketball line of footwear. Co-created with adidas’ Brooklyn Farm, the exciting news comes in the form of three new models; the N3XT L3V3L, adidas’ first lace-less basketball shoe with the new LIGHTSTRIKE midsole; the Marquee Boost (mid and low), a lightweight sneaker inspired by the ’90s-era of basketball; and finally, the Pro Vision, a versatile all-court basketball shoe featuring a Bounce midsole.
As Rashad Williams, Senior Director for Footwear at adidas puts it, “At all stages, the game of basketball is changing, and athletes are creating new ways to hoop. We aimed to shake up the way we create our products to match that, so players from high school to the NBA could look good, feel good and take their game to the next level. We listened to their feedback, collaborated with some of the best design minds in our company and created this new line that’s built for the kid’s game, life and world.”
Another great touch of Brooklyn can be seen on the embroidery detail found on each of the new models — the numbers “11222” pay homage to the borough’s zip code. The N3XT L3V3L, Marquee Boost, and Pro Vision will retail for $180 USD, $130 USD, and $100 USD, respectively. Look for these to drop for 24-hours only on December 1 at adidas Basketball.
