Kendrick Lamar's 'DAMN.' Wins Album of the Year at the 2017 BET Hip-Hop Awards

Kendrick Lamar‘s fourth studio DAMN. overcame the likes of Future’s self-titled album, J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only and JAY-Z’s 4:44 to win Album of the Year at the 2017 BET Hip-Hop Awards. The now platinum-selling album debuted at No.1 on Billboard 200, selling 603,000 album-equivalent units in its first week and has also officially spent 25 consecutive weeks in Billboards top 10.
All of the hit singles, “HUMBLE.,” “DNA.,” “LOVE.” featuring Zacari, “LOYALTY.” featuring Rihanna and “ELEMENT.,” from the Compton rappers latest masterpiece are all still among the most streamed songs in 2017. With only three months left in the year, the TDE co-founder also has the most streamed album of the year with 2 million SPS., 200,000 ahead of Drake’s More Life.
