Here’s two things you don’t usually associate together. Taking to Instagram, legendary Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo revealed some unexpected fandom with a clip of himself performing an acoustic cover of Rae Sremmurd‘s “Come Get Her.” While our brief listen of his cover only runs for seconds, hearing someone who was propelled into the spotlight for singing about looking like Buddy Holly croon about girls who “dance like strippers” is pretty entertaining. If Vampire Weeknd’s Ezra Koenig can talk about doing the “shmoney dance with goth teens,” on an iLoveMakonnen remix, then Rivers Cuomo should release a full version of an acoustic Rae Sremmurd cover.
