Instagram DMs Now Show Your Activity Status

Instagram’s new direct messaging app has debuted and along with it, an activity status feature to let people know the last time you were online. Taking inspiration from Facebook’s Messanger platform, the feature indicates activity underneath usernames and appeared alongside Instagram‘s app update.
However, your followers are unable to see when you were most recently on Instagram. Only users you follow or have a history of direct messaging can see how long you were active. For those not keen on people knowing their online whereabouts, the feature can be disabled on iOS and Android alike via the settings menu. In other Instagram news, the platform is adding recommended posts to your feed.
