Nike's New Air More Uptempo Pokes Fun at the New York Knicks
Throwing shade.
Previously seen in “University Blue” and “Tri-color” iterations, Nike’s Air More Uptempo model will soon drop in a brand new colorway. The unforgettable basketball silhouette will be delivered in a white base contrasted by blue on its large “AIR” branding and orange detailing found on its Swoosh and visible Air Max unit.
The sneaker also takes some jabs at the former New York Knick center Patrick Ewing as a special logo of Scottie Pippen dunking on Ewing is placed on its insoles. Additionally, you’ll also find Ewing’s number “33” on the heel of each sneaker for a final jab.
Nike’s Air More Uptempo “Knicks” is slated to drop on September 23 for a retail price of $160 USD at select Nike retailers and online.
