Instagram Brings Face Filters to Live Videos
Spice up your live broadcasts.
Starting today, you can play with face filters while broadcasting a live video on Instagram. Unlike face filters that are applied after footage is captured, this will work in real-time with all previous filters carrying over alongside an exclusive one just for live video — it features sunglasses with lens reflections for which you can change the scenery with a tap.
To use face filters in live video, tap the face icon at the bottom right corner before or during your broadcast. Tap any filter to check out a new look and play around with as many as you’d like. When your broadcast has ended you can share a replay to stories or choose “Discard” and your live video will disappear from the app as usual. Face filters in live video will be rolling out globally over the next several weeks.
