Staple Design Links up With Cole Haan to Celebrate Its 20th Anniversary
A modern New York wingtip.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Staple Design and Jeff Staple have partnered with Cole Haan for a pair of modern wingtips. Sporting the iconic grey and pink colorway that has become synonymous with the Staple Design ethos as a representative of New York City’s unofficial mascot the pigeon, the latest collaboration is dubbed the 2.ZeroGrand Stitchlite™. The new wingtip is an elevated version of the original ZeroGrand and combines twisted yarn for a marbled look throughout the upper while a Grand.OS outsole supports it. Zonal knitting is used to ensure breathability while the Staple Pigeon logo is embossed on the tongue and insole.
Speaking on the anniversary, founder Jeff Staple had this to say, “Working with Cole Haan represents an opportunity to show the world how far Staple has come in this — our 20th year of existence. Cole Haan to me is at the perfect intersection of innovation, sophistication and design. I am extremely proud that Staple is now a part of its storied history.” Scott Patt, vice president of design and innovation at Cole Haan’s Global Innovation Center in New Hampshire added, “Jeff and his work represent all that is New York in its grit, adaptation and individuality. This partnership is a celebration of our shared values and our dedication to craft, style and engineering in everything we make.”
The Staple Design x Cole Haan 2.ZeroGrand Stitchlite™ will be available on Staple’s web store tomorrow, August 1 at 12 p.m. EST for $300 USD before releasing globally on August 10.
