“Cruising” is the title of WILLY CHAVARRIA‘s 2018 spring/summer collection — elements of California lowrider culture was interspersed with New York’s ’80’s leather scene to create the line. A view from backstage conveys the theme closer as models eagerly prepare to walk the floor at the Eagle, New York’s most popular leather gay bar. Upon closer view, we see leather caps and moto jackets mixed in with boldly printed garments. There’s also an underlying political message here about empowerment and rights, giving way for a powerful presentation.
