James Harden & Damian Lillard Get New adidas Kicks for the Summer
Featuring the likes of “Cactus Kid” and “Static” makeups.
After finishing second in league MVP voting to Russell Westbrook, Houston Rockets guard James Harden isn’t facing all bad news after adidas announced both he and fellow adidas athlete Damian Lillard will be getting two new colorways each for their signature sneakers.
For the Harden Vol. 1, adidas is paying homage to Harden’s past and present, dedicating the first colorway to Harden’s current situation with the Houston Rockets. The sneaker features bold red panels that make up the body with the Three Stripes located towards the heel in white. The second “Cactus Kid” colorway features a few more hues as a tip of the hat to Harden’s NCAA days while at Arizona State University. The sneaker features a light green toe cap contrasted with a black mesh upper that makes up the rest of the sneaker. This look is finished off with the three stripe logo painted in orange and a series of graphics printed on the inside of the sneaker.
As for the Dame 3, the first colorway showcases a very patriotic look, with white taking up most of the body and complemented by hits of red and blue making their way onto the midsole, collar, side panels, and laces. The second Dame 3 colorway, dubbed the “Static,” features more a neutral shade, with a black and white mixed mesh material making up the toe box area. The sneaker also sports a gradient pattern along the midsole that fades from white to black from the toe to the heel.
The four new summer colorways of the adidas Harden Vol. 1 and the Dame 3 are available now through adidas’s web store for $140 USD and $115 USD respectively.
