adidas' Newest Crazy Explosive 17 Model Swaps out Primeknit for a Honeycomb Mesh Build
“Classic Royal” and black.
While Nike continues its dominant run in the basketball sneaker world with such stars as LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving pushing their own signature silhouettes, adidas has tightened its grip — thanks largely to its Crazy Explosive series. The Three Stripes brand recently unveiled a brand new Crazy Explosive 17 rendition in this “Classic Royal” colorway. Opting to forego the shoe’s recent Primeknit trend, the new design instead highlights a textured honeycomb mesh composition with a traditional ankle collar and tongue. While the uppers feature the statement blue-hue, red lands on the eyestays, metallic silver hits the side area branding, and black swathes the full-length BOOST sole unit. Although a price has yet to be confirmed, these new iterations will make its way to select adidas stockists as of July 27.
In other adidas news, the new Swift Run model recently debuted in a “Triple Black” color scheme.
