ZIQ & YONI Goes Industrial for Its 2017 Spring/Summer Collection
The Russian brand hopes to expand the reach of streetwear culture.
Russian label ZIQ & YONI has established itself as one of the most recognized names in the country’s streetwear culture — not only a brand of clothing but an entire lifestyle hub through its website and collaborations with brands like Vans and G-Shock. With the release of its 2017 spring/summer collection, ZIQ & YONI aims to continue to embrace the country’s rich industrial history, as well as expanding the influence of street culture beyond its borders around the world.
“Streetwear all over the world has gone beyond skate and underground cultures, and the term streetwear from the niche segment has evolved into a culture understandable for a wide audience of people,” said ZIQ & YONI brand representatives in a written statement. In Russia, the industry does not stand still and we are glad to be a part of it for 7 years already. With the release of the new collection, our audience has expanded its age and social boundaries.”
Using a large warehouse as a backdrop, the collection features a variety of tees, pullovers, and jackets all rocking simple designs with a multitude of colors. The collection also features a handful of accessories, including the white fanny pack and the bright orange drawstring hat.
