Only in his sophomore season, Ferragamo menswear designer Guillaume Meilland is proving that he belongs up with the biggest names in the fashion industry with some stellar pieces in Salvatore Ferragamo’s 2018 spring/summer collection. The set features a variety of neutral shades and a mixture of darker tones. Navy blue and deep reds are used frequently, making for very mature looks while still standing out. The collection also features an assortment of moccasin-inspired footwear made from both leather and suede. When talking about his inspiration for the collection, Meilland told reporters backstage that he wanted to capture the essence of the Italian seaside and the Mediterranean through the looks he put together and the textiles he chose to use.

“Yes I like the idea of having, for me, something very Italian, something very much linked to the idea of the holidays and the seaside,” said Meilland backstage. “Textures, colors, we are trying combine soft velvet, English fabrics and heavy linens.”
