After unveiling a new COOLPIX W300 water-proof 4K camera for summer, Nikon has just debuted a trio of new Nikkor wide-angle lens models, including the Japanese company’s first fisheye zoom lens. The new series includes the AF-P DX Nikkor 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6 VR, the AF-S Nikkor 28mm f/1.4E ED and the AF-S Fisheye Nikkor 8-15mm.
The Nikkor 10-20mm DX ($310 USD) offers an affordable, lightweight and compact ultra-wide-angle zoom lens that is perfect for beginner photographers and traveling. The Nikkor 28mm ED, ($2,000 USD) offers advanced photographers ultimate wide-angle image quality with a speedy f/1.4 maximum aperture and nine-blade rounded diaphragm. Lastly, the AF-S 8-15mm ED ($1,250 USD) is Nikon’s new full-frame circular fisheye zoom lens that offers photographers and filmmakers an FX-format lens that has both the distinctive fish-eye perspective as well as the versatility of a full-frame zoom. The latter two models feature a gold ring to indicate their premium lens quality, a non-stick fluorine coat on the front lens to keep it clean, as well as a Nano Crystal Coat for flare-reduction. The three new lenses will release on June 15 at Nikon stockists worldwide.
