INVINCIBLE Highlights Arthur Huang's NikeLab Air Max 1 FK Royal Box With a Special Pop-Up
Showcasing the Miniwiz visionary’s custom packaging.
Along with the likes of Marc Newson’s VaporMax and Riccardo Tisci’s mid-top Air Max 97, Arthur Huang’s unique packing for the Air Max 1 FK Royal — a special take on the Flyknit-constructed Ultra 2.0 rendition of the Air Max 1 — is set to steal the spotlight on Air Max Day. Billed as a demonstration of the “perfect balance of performance and sustainability,” the visionary Miniwiz CEO’s modular design not only allows it to be used as a stackable, interlocking component in a product display or storage system, but is eco-friendly, too: it was crafted from a single process Polypropylene with no added chemicals using post-consumer materials like orange juice containers and coffee lids.
To showcase the box’s modular functionality, Huang and NikeLab have teamed up with Taiwan’s INVINCIBLE to launch a pop-up installation. Chock full of the semi-translucent, pillow-like boxes, the space will also serve as the launch point for the all-black Air Max 1 FK Royal.
Look for the kicks to launch at INVINCIBLE this Thursday, March 23 before hitting Greater China and global retailers on March 26 and April 13, respectively.
