Converse Connects With Babylon LA
Featuring a range of apparel and a Chuck Taylor All Star II.

After collaborating with P.A.M for PAMBYLON II and introducing its first drop of 2017, Trash Talk-founded Babylon LA has joined forces with Converse for a co-branded capsule collection. Taking cues from the diverse energy that is the Los Angeles-based label/retail space/skate spot/art gallery, the drop is highlighted by a special take on the Chuck Taylor All Star II that’s embellished with two Babylon script logos — one embroidered along the heel, the other emblazoned on the toe cap. The scripts, as well as a peace sign, also make their way to a hoodie and both long- and short-sleeved tees. Explains Babylon co-founder and Trash Talk frontman, Lee Spielman:
Converse has supported so many different forms of creativity throughout the years. Whether it is music, art, skateboarding or sports. That is something that we also represent with Babylon. Taking all of the things that we love and putting it under one roof with the common goal of pushing the boundaries a bit. We both share the idea that anything is possible if you put your mind to it… With this shoe we wanted to keep the same classic Chuck Taylor look and put our own spin on it. You can wear these out to dinner or out in the city skating with your friends. I really like the tonal aspect of this shoe. It’s not super flashy but it’s fully custom. The suede toe caps will make it better for kids out there who want to skate in them.
Babylon’s Converse collab drops this Thursday, February 2, at select retailers, Converse flagships and converse.com.
