On the season 2 premiere of Amazon’s The Grand Tour starring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May of former Top Gear fame, the trio takes a Lamborghini Aventador, Acura NSX and Rimac Concept_One to an airfield in Switzerland for a drag race.

Almost instantaneously, the Rimac driven by Hammond — which he crashed during filming — charges out of the frame, as it speeds to 62 mph in a mere 2.6 seconds with its 1,224 horsepower provided by a 90-kWh battery. Watch as Clarkson and May battle it to out to not finish last in the Aventador and NSX respectively. Clarkson says at the end, “I’ve never seen anything move as quickly as that,” in reference to the Rimac and he’s seen and a driven his fair share of cars over the last few decades.

The theme of the episode was past, present and future, and the future definitely looks bright for supercars with the Concept_One at the helm. Check out the video above and let us know your thoughts. What’s your favorite supercar of all-time?
