Streetwear has always raised the curiosity of those in the lap of luxury. Starting off as Kanye West’s creative consultant, Virgal Abloh managed to collide the two worlds who always peeked into the windows of each other’s lifestyle. Finding OFF-WHITE isn’t the peak of Virgil’s run, but it surely displays a nice view while he climbs to the mountaintop of fashion. His journey began with many steps such as formal education with stops at the University of Wisconsin and the Illinois Institute of Technology. This would then lay the foundation for following opportunities such as working along Kanye West to finding the popular Pyrex Vision entity which commanded streetwear’s attention thanks to its custom Champion T-shirts and Ralph Lauren flannels.

As a result of wanting to add an intellectual layer to streetwear, OFF-WHITE was born. Moving away from the aforementioned Pyrex Vision, Abloh managed to grab the attention of notable names such as Rihanna, Gigi Hadid and many more as its sales continued to grow year after year. Currently, OFF-WHITE provides pieces for men and women ranging from outerwear, denim, T-shirts, and hoodies to accessories such as tote bags, socks, phone cases, backpacks and much more. You’ll be able to find pieces not only in its flagship spaces in Tokyo, London, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore and Hong Kong, but well-renown retailers such as Net-a-Porter, SSENSE, Selfridges, Barneys New York and more.

As OFF-WHITE continues to grow, so does Abloh’s vision. This then creates further potential for additional inspiration as his influence can be witnessed beyond fashion as you may see him DJing an upcoming function going by the name Flat White or providing ideas behind the scenes of memorable project from DONDA.
