Listen to Niia's Cover of Golden Suits' "Gold Feeling"

Department of Eagles’ Fred Nicolaus released his feel-good tune, “Gold Feeling” earlier this summer to much acclaim. Today, Nicolaus’ friend and classically trained pianist and singer Niia shares her graceful cover of the song above. “It’s always a fun challenge to re- imagine a song in new creative way. I really connected to the lyrics of this song and wanted to try to create a bittersweet feeling with my cover” Niia says. If you recall, Christian Rich remixed her earlier this year. Meanwhile, the original “Gold Feeling” will appear on Golden Suits’ forthcoming new album Kubla Khan due out October 7. “It’s so rad to have someone with amazing vocal talent perform one of your songs–hearing it for the first time felt like the reveal on one of those makeover shows, the part where ‘Gold Feeling’ steps out from behind the curtain and looks 10x better and everyone gasps” says Fred Nicolaus.
