COS Taps Abstract Artist Agnes Martin for Limited Edition Collection
The capsule will be available at the Guggenheim Museum store and select COS locations.
Minimalist label COS teamed up with the Guggenheim Museum in New York City on a collaborative offering inspired by artist Agnes Martin—one of the most influential American painters of the 20th century known for her monochrome, abstract and hard-edge artwork. The collection will coincide with the museum’s forthcoming exhibition of the artist—displaying artwork that spans five decades (1950s-2000s). The range closely resembles the artist’s compositions, including pared-down garments created with natural fabrics such as canvas and linen — this includes loose-fitting shirts, thermals and coats emblazoned with occasional stripes and check patterns.
Take a look at the video above and expect the COS x Agnes Martin collection to drop on October 7th at the Guggenheim Museum Store and selected COS shops worldwide—a portion of the proceeds will go to the Agnes Martin Foundation. Moreover, the exhibition will be open to the public this October 7, 2016 up until January 11, 2017.
