colette to Play Host to Kai & Sunny's "My Eye On You" Starting Next Week
Featuring limited-edition skateboards, a collaborative record with Toydrum and more.
Having long pursued a number of different media, multidisciplinary duo Kai & Sunny are set to highlight some of their colorful, geometric forms at colette later this month with a brand new exhibition. Dubbed “My Eye On You,” the display is highlighted by a bevy of works in ballpoint pen on oak-framed 100% cotton somerset tub sized 420gsm, all measuring 46.5” x 46.5”. The exhibit isn’t all that “My Eye On You” will feature, however. In celebration of the show, colette will be offering four different ELement skate decks emblazoned with the works, as well as a special vinyl record from Toydrum that features Kai & Sunny-designed packaging and contributions from Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, Trentemøller, Frank Wiedemann Pye Corner Audio and more. While the decks are limited to 100 signed sets of four, the records come with a 12-page booklet, copper foil box and are limited to just 250.
Look for “My Eye On You” to open August 29 and run through September 24. And if you can’t make it to colette for the exhibition, fear not: Kai & Sunny are dropping 100 signed and stamped prints of the show’s self-titled work that same day, which will be available online for £150 GBP (approximately $198 USD) each.
