Take a Look Backstage at the Rochambeau 2017 Spring/Summer Show

Behind the extravagant, tropical oasis that backdropped the platform for Rochambeau’s 2017 spring/summer runway show was a backstage room filled with colorfully-clad models itching to grace the catwalk with the New York-based menswear brand’s latest collection. Drawing inspiration from Morocco, specifically the Rolling Stones’ notorious trip to Marrakech in 1967, design-duo Joshua Cooper and Laurence Chandler enlisted a diverse batch of models for their show that consisted primarily of talented friends such as designer and photographer Eli Reed, model Tyler Blue Golden, artist Grear Patterson, 2016 U.S. Olympic fencer Miles Chamley-Watson as well as Hak, who is a former member of NYC hip-hop trio Ratking.
As a whole, the show was heavily influenced by the North African country and was comprised of silk bombers, loose tunics embellished with arabesque prints and even a large fez. Moreover, the crowd of guests around the runway were also presented with four different colorways of a revamped Nike Chapuka sneaker.
