White Mountaineering’s Spring/Summer 2017 show began with neon blue light and a smoke machine, from which models wearing digitized jungle patterns, splashed on a range of flowing coats, long tees, relaxed pants and espadrilles, emerged. From there, creative director Yosuke Aizawa covered a plethora of influences, progressing from Southeast Asian-inspired tunics, wraparound pants and GORE-TEX T-shirts, before coming to a finale of adidas collaborative pieces influenced by Op Art visuals, carving out a distinct brand of contemporary activewear.

The show also gave us our first glimpse of three new adidas sneakers releasing in the future, namely the EQT Support Future — a variant of the ’90s classic; the NMD Trail, and the next evolution of the R1 runner, the R2, which features a clean aesthetic and inside support layer. Click here for a closer look at the footwear backstage, and stay tuned for release details for this collection.
