Flying Lotus is taking a stand for producers all around the world, and based on new Twitter rant, he’s not happy about the way rappers treat music producers. “Hella rap artists are rape artists. Taking advantage of abilities thinking its a good look for us! Most my people behind the scenes is broke,” he says, also adding “(producers) get f*cked with no vaseline” from rappers expecting beats on the spot. He even offers some advice for his fellow producers out there, “Tell them to pay your fee on the spot, cuz fuck that,” before sharing some details about a bad experience he had to go through, “A business man threatened one of the greatest creative relationships I’ve witnessed. Because I asked for fairness”. No names were mentioned but he did make an example of one of rap’s best one-two punches in Future and Metro Boomin, “If u ask me. It’s Metro Boomin featuring Future. He makes that shit what it is.” Check out the full series of tweets below.
