The one-piece upper is made from a single piece of vegetable-tanned leather, treated for 10 days in a steam room and dyed with natural pigments before being stitched at the heel using hand sewn Goodyear construction techniques. One master craftsman is responsible for seeing one pair from start to finish, ensuring consistency. Buffalo leather is used for the footbed, making an entirely natural and breathable shoe that can be worn barefoot and will gain a natural patina with age.
