Vine may be dead, but its creators aren’t planning to leave the app market anytime soon. Just days after the announcement regarding Vine’s demise, the live video outfit’s co-founders have launched a new app called Hype. Adopting the same approach and focus as popular services like Periscope, Hype allows its users to “broadcast live interactive video” and lets others “interact” with the live-stream they’re watching. When it comes to specific unique features, one of Hype’s most interesting characteristics is its ability to allow broadcasters to mix previously-created content while live filming. Users can include clips from their camera roll, emojis, music and more into their streams, and they even have the option to place another video as their stream’s background.

Entrepreneurs Colin Kroll and Rus Yusupov wasted no time in moving on from Vine, having introduced Hype to Apple’s App Store on October 31. For those interested, you can check out Hype via Apple here.
