The 2016/2017 football season is steadily underway; we have seen about a quarter of its games played already, with so many surprises and upsets occurring in the past weeks alone, we can look forward to much more excitement in the fixtures ahead. But since the sales year is coming to an end, we now have a look at the biggest selling club jerseys and its respected players for the 2016 year. Football jersey sales skyrocketed at the start of the 2016/2017 season with over 40% increase compared to last. It probably comes as no surprise that Manchester United has once again topped the shirt sales, with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimović and Paul Pogba jersey’s selling the most in England and worldwide in general. Only Real Madrid came close to United’s shirt sales after the Spanish giants saw a whooping 32% increase in sales. Lionel Messi’s No. 10 Barcelona jersey was the highest selling by any player closely followed by Cristiano Ronaldo’s No. 7 Real Madrid shirt.
