Get up close and personal with LeBron.
Once again at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, the NBA has announced that starting next week, the league will be streaming one game per week in virtual reality for the duration of the whole season. Partnering with NextVR, an app that allows for live sports streaming on Samsung and Oculus’ GearVR platforms, the NBA will become the first major American professional sporting league to broadcast in this medium.
For interested fans, be sure to purchase your own NBA League Pass subscription, as this feature is only available for subscribers. Costing $199.99 USD, it’s not a bad deal considering there will be more than 1,000 games over the course of the season. Don’t forget to pick up your Samsung Gear VR headset, and enjoy the experience.
