VICTORIA and L.I.F.E. Skate the Gambling Capital of the World In "BRACK PREE"
Skateboarding from the orient, shot on a Super 8.
Its been nine years since the once quiet fishing port of Macau turned into a debauche gambling paradise, surpassing Las Vegas in revenue. While the extravagant casinos draw in swathes of punters trying their luck at the Baccarat tables, elsewhere, the overshadowed cobbled sides streets (characterized by the city’s past as a Portuguese administrative region) have piqued the interest of a group of skaters from Hong Kong and Japan.
VICTORIA — named after Hong Kong’s harbour — and L.I.F.E. (Japanese apparel brand founded by Lui Araki) teamed up to tackle Asia’s City of Sin on the four-wheeler. Armed with nothing but a beer coat and the stubborn courage to always “go black” on the roulette table, the boys bring you a slice of skateboarding from the orient. Featuring skaters and affiliates of Vans, Magenta Skateboards, 8FIVE2SHOP and Loading (such as David Lee, Chris Bradley, Dustin Adams, Arthur Leung, Tommy Zhao, Felix Yuan, Nakotaka Ohya, Piet Guilfoyle and Xiao Ji), the raw, Super 8-filmed clip departs from the glitz and glam for weary colonial landmarks and cramped underpasses.
