'The Free State of Jones' Trailer Starring Matthew McConaughey

From Oscar-nominated director and writer Gary Ross (The Hunger Games, Pleasantville, Seabiscuit) comes Free State of Jones, an epic action-drama film that tells the tale of defiant Southern farmer and ex-Confederate soldier Newt Knight (Matthew McConaughey) who leads a rebellion of local farmers and slaves against the Confederacy during the American Civil War. The cast also features actors Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Keri Russell and Mahershala Ali. Check out the trailer in the video above and watch out for The Free State of Jones to hit theaters May 13.
