Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing was criticized for embracing reality TV stars and using them in his previous fashion campaigns, because of the perceived threat it posed to the tradition of French couture. It seems he has taken some of the criticism to heart for the fashion house’s 2016 spring/summer campaign, casting three of the hottest supermodels from the ’90s. Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer all dazzle in this new monochrome shoot by renowned photographer Steven Klein, which Rousteing described as a “dream come true.” How does this latest campaign compare to Balmain’s previous ones?
