Tame Impala's Kevin Parker Calls Lady Gaga Collaboration a "Life/Career-Defining Time"
“It started out sort of like a career move.”
To promote her forthcoming studio album, Lady Gaga dropped a brand new single last week. Entitled “Perfect Illusion,” the song found Lady Gaga locking in a collaboration with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and Mark Ronson. In a new interview with Triple J, Kevin Parker speaks on the “Perfect Illusion” back-story for the first time. Specifically, Parker recalls:
It was amazing, really really good. One of those life/career-defining times. It started out sort of like a career move. Like, ‘I’ll get in on that.’ But it quickly became something so personal and so meaningful for everyone involved. I’m just happy it’s all out in the open now. Now I can not tell secrets anymore.
Previously, Lady Gaga made an appearance during Tame Impala’s last major festival set.
