Following its iTunes on Thursday night at 11 p.m., Drake‘s VIEWS caused a lot of activity on Twitter. Approximately, 858,000 tweets have been sent in the hour after the album’s arrival. This number is rather impressive if you compare it with 1.8 million tweets over the course of 8 hours (6 p.m. – 2 a.m.) dedicated to Beyoncé’s LEMONADE premiere and Rihanna’s 675,000 Twitter mentions in the 24 hours following the release of ANTI. However, Kanye West remains on top of the Twitter gain. His short-lived Twitter feud with Wiz Khalifa achieved a reach of 400 million views (no pun intended) while it generated an additional 6.5 million tweets from other social media users.
