Legendary Racer Derek Bell Is Reunited With His First Race Car
Reminiscing about his “FIRST DANCE” with the 1970 Ferrari 512M.
Over the span of 20+ illustrious years, British race car driver Derek Bell won just about everything there is to win in the world of automotive sports. The Middlesex native won the coveted Le Mans 24 hours race five times, including back to back wins in 1986 and 1987, Daytona 24 three times and the World Sportscar Championships two times, making him the most successful UK racer of all time. Blackbird Automotive recently chronicled Mr. Bell’s reunion with the car that began his racing career, the 1970 Ferrari 512M, in its “FIRST DANCE” series.
