Kristen Stewart to Appear in Karl Lagerfeld-Directed Film
The ‘Twilight’ star will appear as Coco Chanel for Chanel’s Métiers d’Arts film.

Having appeared for Chanel campaigns in the past and a close working relationship with Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld, news has just broken that Kristen Stewart will reprise her relationship with the brand in a very important way: as Coco Chanel. The actress will portray the brand’s founder – indirectly – in a film for Chanel’s annual Métiers d’Arts show in Rome this December. The Métiers d’Arts show itself is in its 12th year, and celebrates the relationship between Chanel and its sources for fabrics, embroidery and other materials. The film was written and is set to be directed by Lagerfeld himself, and will find Stewart playing an actress gearing up to play Gabrielle Chanel in a fictional biopic. An interesting perspective that will likely examine the psyche of one of the world’s most infamous designers, look for the film to drop on December 1 and stay tuned for more news on this as it arrives.
