Rupert LaMontagne returns with the third installation in his series for ‘C-Heads’
George Costanza famously entered the “forbidden city” of extraordinarily beautiful women via an old photo of his purported ex-fiancee. Whether Rupert LaMontagne has a similar photo is of no consequence (he does), but the fruits of his endeavor are, unlike George, benefiting the eyes of many and not merely his own. Here we find the Canadian photographer returning with the third installment of his “50 Girls of Summer” series with C-Heads Magazine, traversing the world with some of its most darling ladies for a set of candid portraits. LaMontagne’s genius is not in the ostentatious display of body-as-object, but rather in his highlighting of each subject’s essence; the photographer does well to unearth, if not amplify, each girl’s sense of serenity.
