As you know, French film director, Mia Hansen Love has worked on a semi-biographical movie project, called Eden. The film chronicles Daft Punk‘s rise within the French electronic music scene. Besides the iconic duo, other artists featured in the project are Dimitri from Paris, Cassius Stardust, Alan Braxe & Fred Falke, Mr. Oizo, DJ Falcon, and the American Felix da Housecat really took off in Europe during that era. Today, DJ Mag shared a teaser from the film featuring Daft Punk as a young DJ duo, spinning their own music, which you will recognize as “Da Funk,” for the first time at a trendy house party.
Eden premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released nationally this month on July 24. Watch the clip above.
