Follow the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB as It Rumbles Through Southern California
The vintage Ferrari makes its presence known in the hills surrounding the Angeles Crest Highway.
Regarded as the finest dual-purpose GT car of its time, this 1960 Ferrari GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione has emerged at the end of an extensive $700,000 USD restoration process by Motion Products Inc. Now the howitzer is to be jointly auctioned off by Sotheby’s and RM Auctions. But before it is sent off to the bidding hall, Porch House Pictures followed the rare vintage (one of only 45 produced) on a breathtaking ride along the Angeles Crest Highway in Southern California. Clocking out to just over two minutes, the clip here captures the sounds and sights of the race car’s remarkable 280-brake horsepower SOHC Colombo V12 engine and sweeping aluminum body design by Pininfarina and hand-crafted by coachmakers Scaglietti. Enjoy the short film above and click here for more details on the auction, to take place on August 13 in Monterey, California.
